Kelsey studied ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, and pointe as a former member of the Body Language Dance Company. She trained as both a company performer, as well as a competitive dancer. As a company dancer, she performed in the annual Nutcracker Ballet as numerous roles including the Sugar Plum Fairy and the Snow Queen.
In addition, throughout her childhood, she competed in both regional and national dance competitions. In high school, she was a member of the Massapequa Chiefettes Kickline team, as well as a choreographer for the DanceWorks club. Kelsey attended the Long Island High School for the Arts where she continued to receive training in various dance techniques and styles. Following her training, she began teaching dance at Body Language Dance & Theater Arts Studio. Since then, Kelsey taught students of all ages in various dance styles, both recreationally and competitively. Currently, Kelsey is receiving her doctorate in school psychology at St. John’s University, focusing on providing mental health services to children and adolescents. However, she continues to teach dance classes in order to share her love for dance with children of all ages whenever possible!
