We will continue to follow the NYS Guidelines for childrenbe strictly following all CDC and OSHA guidelines for the re-opening of dance studios. We are doing all we can to keep our students and staff safe.
Our reopening plan has been approved by Nassau County Deptment of Health’s Office of Recreational Activities
We have completed a COVID safety course and training on how to safely train student athletes while they are wearing masks.
Our 1 year old state of the art HEPA Air Ventilation System has Merv 13 filters that will be frequently changed.
Each studio has its own Medify Air Purifier running continuously. They have a HEPA 13 filter in each one and turn the air ove in each room every 30 mins.
Vents, ducts and filters are being sprayed monthly with an anti- viral & germicide treatment.
Our Class sizes have been restored to pre- pandemic limits (16 in our large rooms, 12 in the smaller ones)
No food or drink is allowed in the studio except water bottles.
7 touch-less Hand sanitizing units have been installed throughout the building and in each classroom.
Cleaning and Disinfecting supplies are available in each classroom and available to staff or students.
Classes are now 50 mins to allow 10 mins for disinfecting common surfaces between each changing class.
Each studio has its own entrance. Studio 1, 2 & 4 will entering and exiting from their Merrick Rd door and Studio 3 will use the rear parking lot entrance.
Students will remain in one class room per day and only leave that room if they need to use the restroom.
Restrooms and common areas will be wiped down hourly. (doorknobs, faucets, light switches, etc… Students will be reminded to wash their hands and must use the hand sanitizing station before re-entering the classroom.
Our Lobby & Dressing room will remain temporarily closed for observation or waiting. The desk will be available for any necessary in-person transactions during 4-7:30pm daily
All Classes will be streaming on Zoom from our new media carts . Parents are encouraged to watch their child’s class from their phones or computer at anytime. Children who are not taking in-person classes will be included on our large monitors and it will look & feel like they are there!
Each student will have their own space and hook in the classroom for their bag and jackets
Dancers, parents and team members will be asked to use our hand sanitizer before entering the classroom.
Masks / face coverings will be worn by all unvaccinated staff members.
*UPDATED 7/8/2021 Masks will be required to be worn in the following classes for children not eligible for the COVID vaccine. Preschool 2, Combos, Level 1 & Level 2.
*UPDATED 7/8/2021 Masks will not be required in the following classes but strongly recommended for unvaccinated students: Level 3, Level 4, All Company divisions and Adult classes.
As per NYS all Preschool 1 students (2 yr olds) are not required to wear masks and will continue to be socially distanced. Unvaccinated parents of Preschool 1 students who will remain in the room with their child will be required to wear masks. For vaccinated parents masks are optional.
Our staff members have been trained in the proper coaching of student athletes while wearing masks. All precautions will be followed. Mask breaks are permitted in the lobby for anyone who needs one. Chairs have been set distanced apart for safe temporary removal of masks if needed.
Students, Parents and Staff members should not come to the studio if they are feeling sick and are encouraged to take class virtually until feeling well.
Parents of students and Staff members must report to us if they have tested positive for Covid 19 or have been in contact with a person who has tested positive.
If students have been contact traced and told to quarantine from school, they must also quarantine from the studio until the date given.
Students and staff will not be permitted back into the studio until it is safe for them to do so. If exposed, or sick we will require the student to participate virtually for the amount of time deemed necessary to quarantine by the CDC & NYS and proof of a negative test (on day 5) if the student will not be in quarantine for the full 10 days.
