We will be strictly following all CDC and OSHA guidelines for the re-opening of dance studios. We are doing all we can to keep our students and staff safe.
Our reopening plan has been approved by Nassau County Deptment of Health’s Office of Recreational Activities
We are completed a Covid safety course and training on how to safely train student athletes while they are wearing masks.
Our 1 year old state of the art HEPA Air Ventilation System has Merv 13 filters that will be frequently changed.
Vents, ducts and filters are being sprayed monthly with a germicide treatment.
Rooms will be fogged regularly in the off hours.
Our Class sizes have been decreased and will be strictly limited. Our larger rooms will only enroll 12 students and our middle room will enroll up to 10 students.
No food or drink is allowed except water bottles.
7 touch-less Hand sanitizing units have been installed throughout the building and in each classroom.
Cleaning and Disinfecting supplies are available in each classroom and available to staff or students.
Classes are now 50 mins to allow 10 mins for disinfecting of the floor and common surfaces between each changing class.
Each studio has its own entrance. Studio 1 & 2 will now be entering and exiting from their Merrick Rd door and Studio 3 will use the rear parking lot entrance.
Students will remain in one class room per day and only leave that room if they need to use the restroom.
Restrooms and common areas will be wiped down between each use. (doorknobs, faucets, light switches, etc… Students will be reminded to wash their hands and must use the hand sanitizing station before re-entering the classroom.
Our Lobby & Dressing room will remain temporarily closed and not be able to be used for observation or waiting. The desk will be available for any necessary in-person transactions during 4-8pm daily
All Classes will be streaming on Zoom from our new media carts . Parents are encouraged to watch their child’s class from their phones or computer at anytime. Children who are not taking in-person classes will be included on our large monitors and it will look & feel like they are there!
Classrooms have been divided and taped off into social distanced individual spaces. Each student will have their own distanced space and a hook in the classroom for their bag and jackets
Dancers, parents and team members will have their temperature checked upon entry to the building and use hand sanitizer before entering the classroom.
Masks / face coverings will be worn by all because heavy breathing while exercising is thought to be an activity that expels significantly more virus than talking.
Our staff members have been trained in the proper coaching of student athletes while wearing masks. All precautions will be followed. Mask breaks are permitted in the lobby for anyone who needs one. Chairs have been set distanced apart for safe temporary removal of masks if needed.
No shared equipment (barres, mats, props, etc…)will be used by the students. Staff members will be sanitizing each room in between classes used by different students..
Parents of Students and Staff members will be required to inform BL of any travel to “hot spots” and will be required to take class virtually for 14 days upon returning.
Parents of students and Staff members should not come to the studio if they are feeling sick and are encouraged to take class virtually until feeling well.
Parents of students and Staff members must report to us if they have tested positive for Covid19 or have been in contact with a person who has tested positive.
Students and staff will not be permitted back into the studio until it is safe for them to do so.
